Operations and Maintenance Mechanic at St1 Biokraft – Mönsterås

Do you want to work in operations and maintenance in a future-oriented industry where sustainability and technology meet? We are now looking for an Operations and Maintenance Mechanic for our state-of-the-art biogas facility in Mönsterås.

About our facility in Mönsterås

St1 Biokraft's facility in Mönsterås is one of Sweden's most modern and efficient biogas plants. Here, we produce liquid biogas (LBG) by converting by-products from the food industry and agriculture into renewable energy. The facility plays an important role in the ongoing energy transition, and we strive to continuously optimize and develop our production.

About the role

As an Operations and Maintenance Mechanic, you will be an important part of our team and responsible for ensuring the operation and maintenance of the facility's various systems and equipment. You will work both preventively and reactively to ensure efficient and safe operations.

Your main tasks:

🔧 Work with preventive and corrective maintenance of the facility's processes and auxiliary equipment.

🛠 Perform troubleshooting and repair of mechanical components such as pumps, compressors, and instrumentation.

⚙️ Rounds and monitoring of operations and processes.

📋 Follow up and improve operational routines for safe and cost-effective production.

🔥 Leak detection of methane gas and take action as needed.

📊 Conduct risk analyses and life cycle analyses.

🔍 Participate in studies, projects, and improvement work to develop the facility.

🦺 Work for a safe working environment and follow applicable occupational safety regulations.

We are looking for someone who has:

✔ High school education or equivalent experience in operations and maintenance.

✔ Experience in operations monitoring, rounds, and maintenance of mechanical equipment.

✔ In-depth knowledge of pumps, compressors, gas purification, and instrumentation.

✔ A valid driver's license (B).

✔ Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

✔ Computer skills and basic administrative ability.

✔ Knowledge of chemical handling and Swedish occupational safety regulations is an advantage.

✔ Experience operating wheel loaders, overhead cranes, and forklifts.
